Yes. A $100 incidental hold is authorized on the card provided at check-in. This temporary hold helps cover any unpaid balances, damages, or smoking-related fees during the stay. If no additional charges are incurred, the hold is automatically released after check-out. Depending on your bank or card provider, funds typically return to your account within 3–5 business days.
Yes. If you find a lower publicly available rate for the same room and dates, we’re happy to match it when you contact us directly.
A deposit equal to the first night’s stay is required for reservations on Fridays, Saturdays, holidays, and special event dates. If you have any questions about paying for your room, please reach out to us directly and we will provide clarification.
Reservations made directly with the hotel can be canceled by contacting us at 913-596-6000 or by emailing info@chateauavalonhotel.com.
Check-in time starts at 4:00 pm. Guests will be required to provide a government-issued photo ID card at the time of check-in. A debit or major credit card deposit will be taken for incidental charges.
Early check-in and late check-out are based on availability. Please contact the front desk on the day of your arrival or departure to check availability.

Chateau Avalon features 56 uniquely designed themed suites, ranging from immersive adventure suites to classic and spa-inspired rooms, offering a one-of-a-kind stay experience.
Many of our themed suites are designed with couples in mind, offering immersive environments, jetted tubs, and unique layouts for a more memorable and private stay.
Most suites include a jetted tub or soaking tub as part of the experience, along with a shower or shower wand depending on the suite design. Look to the room page for specific details.
Microwaves are not available in individual rooms; however, a guest-use microwave is located on each floor near the ice machine.

Policies
Yes. Chateau Avalon is a flame-free, smoke-free, and pet-free property. To help preserve the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of the hotel for all guests, candles, open flames, smoking/vaping, and pets are not permitted anywhere on the property or inside guest rooms.
Violation of these policies may result in additional cleaning, deodorizing, or damage fees of up to $500 depending on the severity of the issue.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to check in and must present a valid government-issued ID.
Pets are not permitted at Chateau Avalon.
